For the Longhouse and Beyond
This kyrtill (Old Norse tunic) channels the everyday armor of 10th-century Norse traders and berserkir warriors, its diamond neckline echoing Gotlandic carvings of Odin’s einherjar. Unlike Hollywood interpretations, our design mirrors the Thorsberg tunic fragments – side vents for axe-swinging mobility, triple-stitched seams recalling sail-repair techniques from the Gokstad ship. Woven from a breathable linen-cotton blend mimicking vaðmál cloth weight, each thread carries the legacy of Viking weavers who spun fate itself into fabric, now reinforced with hidden sweat-wicking channels for conquering renaissance fairs or boardroom battles.

Fit & Sizing
True to our Norse ancestors’ practicality: The kyrtill drapes like 9th-century klappenrock tunics but with tapered modern silhouettes. While we follow the 2:1 torso-to-sleeve ratio from Oseberg tapestries, slight variations in dye lots may occur – each batch tells its saga through subtle earthy tonalities.
Care Instructions
Machine wash cold like a fjord stream; tumble dry low as if by Jötunheimr’s winds. For "feast stains," pretreat with mead (or club soda) as the Prose Edda recommends.
